Lafarge Africa (WAPCO) has released an audited financial account for the year ended December 31, 2020.
Lafarge Africa Plc, a leading Sub-Saharan Africa building materials company is a subsidiary of LafargeHolcim, a world leader in building materials. Listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
According to the report, the company’s Net sales increased by 8.3% from N212.999 billion in FY-2019 to N230.573 in FY-2020.
Total Assets increased by 2.02% to close the year at N507.213 billion from N497.152 billion reported in the year ended December 31, 2019.
Profit before tax from continued operation Increased by 109.99% to N37.572 billion during the 2020 financial year compared to N17.892 billion reported in the 2019 financial year.
The Profit After Tax grew 98.8% y/y to NGN30.84 billion while EPS settled at NGN1.91 per share while Earning per share (EPS) stood at N1.915 as of December 31, 2020, against 0.963k as of December 2019, or an increase of 98.8 y/y after adjusting for gains from discontinued operations (NGN99.58 billion) in FY-2019.
The board has proposed a final dividend of NGN1.00 per share translating to a yield of 4.4% based on the last closing price of NGN22.50 per share.
The qualification date for the dividend is April 30, 2021, while the payment date is May 25, 2021 subject to the shareholder’s approval at the annual general meeting scheduled for May 25, 2021.
