Stocks traded sideways drifting lower slightly below its recent high as benchmark index moves downtick by -0.01% to close negative. This followed after the marginal increase recorded in previous sessions.
Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed on a negative note as the NSE All-share index depreciated by -0.01% to closed at 39,131.80 basis points, as against the +0.29% appreciation recorded in the previous session. Stocks expanded by 3.46 points while market capitalization closed at 20.479 trillion. Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stand at -2.83%.
The market breadth closed negative as CUTIX led 17 gainers charts appreciating by 7.00% to close at current N2.14 against 16 losers. Unimpressive performance compared to the previous session.
