Equity market closed flat, amid earning season expectation

A Flat note was recorded on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange today as the NSE All-share Index recorded no change to close at 37,857.24 basis points, as against -0.36% depreciation recorded in the previous session. Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stand at -6.37%.

 

 

 

Market capitalization closed at N19.72 trillion. A total of 197,279,568 Shares were traded on the floor of the exchange today in 3,567 deals valued at about N1.92 trillion. Turnover Volume increased by +5.36%  as against -22.58% depreciation recorded in the previous session to close positive.

 

 

 

GTCO topped the Turnover Volume and Most Traded Stock with 27,913,377 shares worth N823,198,240.40 million traded in 310 deals, while WEMABANK led the List of Active Stocks with 37,198,957 shares valued at N28,059,325.10 million.

 

 

 

Stock market breadth closed positive as NCR led the 16 gainers charts for equity appreciating by +9.64% to close at current N2.73 against 12 losers topped by IKEJA HOTEL declining -9.09% to close at the current price of N1.40.
