The appointment was subsequent to the end of the service of the Bank’s former Managing Director Mr. Adam Nuru. According to the release, the Board of Directors First City Monument Bank FCMB Group Plc confirmed and announced the appointment of former acting managing director Mrs. Yemisi Edun as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its largest subsidiary, FCMB Bank Limited following the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Board of Directors stated they are confident in her ability and Mrs. Yemisi Edun will be of no doubt be a great value to the entire FCMB Group.
Mr. Yemisi Edun who has served as the Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer of FCMB bank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Ile Ife and a Master’s Degree in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Liverpool United Kingdom.
Mrs. Yemisi Edun is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and Chief Financial Analyst, CFA Charter Holder, also an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers; an Associate Member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; Member of Information Systems Audit and Control, U.S.A; and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
