NIGERIA STOCK EXCHANGE CLOSED ON A NEGATIVE NOTE, AS NSE ALL-SHARE INDEX DEPRECIATED BY -0.71%

Stocks market drifted lower as the benchmark index slipped today following the previous losses that were recorded from Monday through Tuesday, the market records gain yesterday inching up by +0.09% this was little compared with the -0.69% losses for the first two trading days of the week.

 

 

 

Today activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed on a negative note as the NSE All-share index depreciated by -0.71% to closed at 38,571.89 basis points, as against the +0.09% appreciation recorded in the previous session. Stocks shed 64.24 points while market capitalization closed at N20.186 trillion. Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stand at -4.22%.

 

 

The market breadth closed negative as GUINNESS led the 22 gainers charts appreciating by 10.00% to close at current N 29.15 against 18 losers topped by UAC-PROP declining by -10.00% to close at current N-0.72. ACCESS was among the most active stocks with 36,886,819.00 million shares worth N29,770,909,595 in 331 deals. Improved performance when compared with the previous session.
