Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed today on a positive note as the NSE All-share index appreciated by +0.74% to close at 39,170.95 basis points, as against the +0.50% appreciation recorded in the previous session. Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stand at -2.81%.
Market capitalization closed at N20.416 trillion. A total of 181,526,454 Shares were traded on the floor of the exchange today in 3,217.00 deals valued at about N3.959 billion. Turnover volume dropped by -16.93% as against +3.68% appreciation recorded in the previous session to close negative.
ZENITHBANK topped the list of active stock and the most traded stocks with 20,759,306 shares valued at N476,127,220.20 traded in 347 deals while NESTLE topped the turnover volume list with a total of 1,009,989 shares estimated at N291,326,561.50 traded in 272 deals.
Stock market breadth closed positive as CUTIX led the 25 gainers charts for equity appreciating by +10.00% to close at current N2.53 against 6 losers topped by SOVERNINS declining by -3.57% to close at the current price of N0.27.
