Access Bank PLC Explain Reasons for Delay in Releasing Half Year 2019 Audited Financial Statement

Access Bank Plc normally renders Audited Financial Statements Half Yearly which in line with the rules of The Exchange is expected to be published within 60 days from the end of the period. This complies with the post-listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on the filing of Half Year Financial Statements by quoted companies.

 

Access Bank failed to submit its Half-Year Financial Statement for the period ended June 2019 before the deadline set by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

 

In a notice sent to the Nigeria Stock Exchange and the investing public Access Bank Plc explain that the delay in filing the report is Due to the recently concluded merger between Access Bank Plc and defunct Diamond Bank Plc and consequent business integration, the Half Year Audit of the enlarged institution has taken more time to complete than usual. This is considered a one-off event being the maiden audit sequel to the merger.

 

However, Access Bank Plc stated that the Bank’s Half Year Audited Financial Statements, subject to Central Bank of Nigeria’s approval, will be submitted not later than September 15, 2019.
