Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed today on a negative note as the NSE All-share index depreciated by -0.06% to close at 38,414.37 basis points, as against +0.47% appreciation recorded in the previous session. Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stand at -4.83%.
Market capitalization closed at N20.022 trillion. A total of 274,852.026 Shares were traded in 4,159 deals valued at about N2.63 billion. Turnover volume increased by +36.16% as against -11.73% depreciation recorded in the previous session to close positive.
ZENITHBANK topped the turnover list and the most traded stock with 20,475,242 value at N470,701,908.80 traded in 354 deals while UCAP topped the list of active stock with 23973618.00 shares worth N143,661,226.70 in 230 deals.
Stock market breadth closed positive as MORISON led the 18 gainers charts for equity appreciating by +9.57% to close at current N1.03 against 18 losers topped by CHAMPION declining by -9.91% to close at the current price of N1.91.
